Worship Service Information

Our order of worship for Sunday morning is liturgical, using the words and songs from the long history of the Christian Church. We use a worship booklet to make it as easy as possible to follow the service, referring to Evangelical Lutheran Worship for the hymns. Our hymns are a blend of the traditional hymns with newer worship songs, chants, spirituals, and Latino music included as appropriate for the day.

A Healing Service is held quarterly with the rite of laying on of hands and anointing from Evangelical Lutheran Worship.  This is a more relaxed service which includes Holy Communion.  It is offered for those who find it difficult to get to Sunday morning worship as well as for those who are in need of prayers for healing for themselves or loved ones.  Services for 2010 are scheduled for Wednesdays at 2 p.m. on April 14, July 14, and October 6.

Holy Communion is offered every time we gather as the body of Christ at Hope.  Please know you are welcome to partake of this gift, as it is for all God’s children.
